Arranged is Deranged (Also Food + gaming review!)

yeah don't ask, I just thought of a killer title and thought "yeah that seems cool", so like here is the context then: I was feeling really bad about the fact that I am young and still not found any more dates. Like I wish I could find someone who'd date me or not even just that, I wish I could have more friends so that either 2 things happen: 1; I start feeling less need to date and find love in my friends or 2; I'd find my lover by having more exposure to more friends! Essentially, I think that Arranged marriage is deranged, the idea of being stuck with another human in "love" is nothing but dread all but in name.

But you know what? Speaking about love, if there is anything I do love is being queer and part of being that group. Happy belated Lesbian Visibility day! I love that I'm part of a movement where slowly, the recognition of our existence is being normalized. I mean lets be honest: Who actually gives a fuck, right? But personally, I don't think it's enough to just let minorities exist, because often you forget they're a vulnerable group that constantly and silently get hurt. But it's whatever, just want my lesbian peers to feel safe here <3 That includes trans folks too who are lesbians! Bashing fellow queers is not allowed in my blog so don't expect any of that any time soon. :p

Anyways, instead of moping about love, I should talk about my video games progress! It's... not good, but it's not bad either! It's okay. So, I've been stuck with mostly doing a lot of Lost Judgment, I'm not done and I haven't fully fleshed out my opinion so I'll only say that it continues being a really good game. But to be honest, 8.8 is a bit too generous, it's more like 8.4 now out of 10 because I've had my issues. Again, not fully formed thoughts, just vibes and feelings that I can't express now.

The bigger thing I've been doing is playing Killing Floor 2 and Dead Letter Dept. Oh my god, this fucking game is so sick. If you recall to my previous post "Actually, let me talk about typing!" (I will make a sequel to that post, don't worry), I listed it as one of those really good typing games and it still is! But to be honest it's less of a pure typist game and more "Can you read/decipher the letters highlighted text into the prompt box?" and it can be frustrating at times. I'm aiming to 100% Dead Letter Dept because there is guides and i figure it can be pretty easy... oh how wrong I was.

Turns out the game is pretty unforgivable if you try to save, because you can only save ONCE per run, and each section is painstakingly slow for certain endings you have to do. So I'm struggling to figure out how to get one ending + others so that's what's been going on mostly. Also I genuinely think if you like horror, it's a good horror game too. The problem is that the jumpscares might not get you most of the time but what helps is sitting in a dark room with headphones and simply imagining you're right there. Alone. It works but it depends if you scare easy or not. The atmosphere however will leave you on edge no matter what. Because sometimes you might get chased by something invisible or not (sorry if this is like spoilers? Is it!?) but whatever, if you got a few bucks like as I am writing this now, it's listed 15 bucks (10 if you got it on discount), so it's perfectly priced for how long it can be, 2 hours, replayable, good practice on typing. Indie too, so it's just really fucking good, go support and play it when you can.

But hold on, while I'm typing this, I'm gonna just go ahead and get a donut cuz I'm SERIOUSLY craving. I am a foodie, aka a fatass lardboy who likes to eat plenty BUT I'm picky for a good reason. I like good food, not garbage so I genuinely do have a reason to eat a donut because it's been about a month and few weeks since I last ate one. Funny enough, the craving trigger was from a podcast I was listening, crazy how someone mentions a food item and the brain can just go "Oh my god GO GET IT, WE NOW SUDDENLY NEED THIS FOOD, ITS NECTAR FROM GODS, GO GET IT" even if I ate like a hearty rice and beans meal or something with eggs and veggies and all that good stuff. I'm noticing for me that I really don't prefer savory or sweet, I prefer both but in seasons. Some times I crave savory foods like just fried rice or beans with rice, I fucking love beans so much so I'd eat most of them. And often I notice that I genuinely feel better when I eat savory and often have less teeth problems that way. However... I can't say the same for sugar. It's the addiction that I cannot rid like all of us can't. It's too fucking good. It hits my brain in ways I'm pretty sure billions of science youtube videos already do explain in some extent (except those god awful misinformational tiktoks/reels/shorts). But fine whatever, let me go get it, eat my donut, and idk i guess we're doing a donut review too in this post!? WTF IS GOING ON LMAO!?

Okay... so yeah I just came back, I can still taste my donut in my mouth and gonna say this; it's pretty good for what I wanted. Btw I realized that this might be the shittiest review cuz none of you will be able to even reference where or how to get this donut LMAO so sorry ToT

Anyways. The Donut itself was good, it's a classic cream filled donut and the cream was espresso flavored. With that in mind, the only maple I tasted was maybe the cream on top of it but even then it was kinda suggestive. I didn't really taste "Maple syrup" more like "Milky sweet of something" so the "Maple" part is pretty confusing in this donut. Also that's not real whipped cream, that's white dollop on it is just a soft thing I bite into whole, I don't know exactly what it is but it crumbled and melted in my mouth. Which is fine but it was like sugar flavored chalk to be honest. I'd rate this donut a solid 7.6 out of 10

The bonus is the Ham and Cheese bite I ate. This one is interesting because the donut shop just presented this and it's relatively new. They've only done pastries only so I was pleased to try it out. It was good surprisingly! it was creamy with the cheese and had a cheddar flavor that I personally don't find too hot but in this instance it was good cheddar. Despite the fact that I'm either a Havarti cheese guy or a Swiss cheese guy, the bite here was really good with the cheese because it helped cover the mediocre, honestly low-tier tasting ham bits. They were honestly unpleasant and made the thing just distasteful. Also it was pretty oily, almost dripping with it on the bottom, now some dislike that but I personally loved it because it actually made it taste good, savory even. Anyways I give it an 8.1

So here's my post song, I chose this cuz I get really nostalgic about LBP2, god I fucking loved that game to dying bits... anyways, here it is: Left Bank Two also this one: Same song but Retro
